April 19, 2022
Board Members attending: Jim Green (V.P), Deb Yeutter (Secretary), Ryan Hamilton, Richard Becker, Brandi Chandler, Kris Deffenbaugh, Anita Hains.
Meeting was called to order by Jim Green and a 2022 Budget was handed out to members.
Ryan Hamilton reported on the ongoing addition of mulch to the park along with Loma Circle and Monarch Circle. We will continue to spray for weeds and fertilizing the commons area along with fall and spring clean up around the ponds and the commons areas.
Richard Becker reported on the ponds. We have teamed up with UNL and Airlift to help us with our algae and duckweed. UNL stated that it is phosphorous that has been causing our problems and since the water travels from outside of our HOA into our ponds, it’s hard to control that. He stated that the new system is in partnership with Village Meadows, who share the middle pond with us.
Jim Green reported on getting our park slide replaced and stated that we will use a new vendor in the future. Also that the city of Lincoln may help us with our Ash tree population and is suggesting cutting them down instead of treating them. The city will help defray the costs.
Richard Becker and Jim Green reported on why the dues were raised back to the original amount when the association began. The 2022 budget was approved.
Brandi Chandler is going off the board. Lorie Callaway was nominated and approved to replace her.
The Good Neighbor awards will begin in May 2022, through December 2022.
It was brought to our attention that there are people who are not in our association that are using our ponds and park. For liability reasons, signs have been posted in all areas. It was mentioned that we may possibly need new, more bold signs to deter this extra traffic
Meeting was adjourned.
