Board attending: Richard Becker, Jill Pauley, Anita Hains, Doyle Karst, Bill Blake, Terry Stehlik, Tom Becker and Deb Yeutter
20 additional members of the HOA attended.
- The meeting was called to order.
- Board members were introduced.
- Minutes from the 2024 Annual Meeting were distributed
- Review of activities for 2024 and plans for 2025
- Web Site was updated to reflect 2024’s activities and improvements by Deb.
- Covenants were presented by Bill Blake and it was stated that in order to change the current covenants, that there needs to be 2/3 of the members agreement.
- Trees and Landscaping. It was reported by Terry that Christensen’s has completed the 2 full day clean up of dead trees. It was also mentioned from a member that we should leave some dead trees for the owls and woodpeckers and not take all their habitat.
- Playground Equipment. Anita stated that we’ve been getting free mulch from the city, added two tables, new tree stumps for kids to climb on and that the bucket swing was just recently broken. We will have Ryan get that repaired.
- Pond – Doyle reported that Dr. Comfort’s grant will be coming to and end in 2025. A member asked what proactive measures have we taken? Doyle reported that we’ve added 3 carp to handle the pond grasses and that Jared from Village Garden’s is helping train a new person to treat the ponds.
- Insurance Updates. Jill reported that last December we went over our old insurance coverage and noticed that it didn’t protect the HOA properly and that there was also coverage for items in that policy, that didn’t pertain to an HOA. That has been addressed by the new insurance carrier.
- Other Updates. Richard and Bill reported that the City is thinking that the HOA is responsible for the Monarch Circle mess. Bill stated that a Bond was never introduced by Hampton Enterprises to transfer the responsibility from the City to our HOA. It is still a City issue. Bill and Alan Johnson will meet with the City in the next few days regarding this issue.
- Budget report was presented to Jill.
- Nominations for the 2025 HOA board is Alan Johnson and he was voted in. Richard Becker and Lorie Callaway will continue on the board for another 3 years.
- The meeting adjourned.
